A few days after researching and trying to contact all the ministries we could find online, we pretty much felt like we had exhausted all of our resources. Google only goes so far in other countries. We had meetings set up with people in ministry in Sofia, but since it is the capital and therefore quite expensive, we were
praying God would open up doors for us to find ministries to come alongside outside of Sofia. So far we hadn't heard back from any other ministries other than in Sofia.
You see our budget is $11/day per person for lodging, food, and transportation. In Sofia the first week, we were spending $13/day on lodging alone in the hostel. We needed a miracle for God to open doors for us. This is a big lesson for our team. You see the teams that aren't doing unsung heroes have one contact the entire
month, like last month for us, and have everything planned out. We literally have no idea what lies ahead for us. Everyday, we just pray and seek God.
So I think we all felt just like there was nothing else we could do except pray and wait. Sometimes running our race well is actually being still and waiting. So that is what we did. We turned on some worship music and started praising God. Not because we wanted to get something from Him, but because He is worthy to be praised. We sung out to Him and praised Him, and also prayed for wisdom. We prayed that He would open doors and shut doors where He see fit.
When we were done praying and and worshiping Jesus, He blessed us so much by opening a door in Burgas. We received an email from Simeon Krastev, a pastor in a village outside of Burgas, a city near the black sea. He asked us to come serve alongside him and had a church for us to stay at for free.
Honestly, we all just felt so blessed by this. It was like God just poured out His love all over us! He is our Provider! He is our Wonderful Counselor and Guide! Finally, He is our Everlasting Father and loves to bless His children. I love having a relationship with Him! It's so exciting! This month is full of adventures with God! I'm so blessed to be here and to experience it with my wonderful husband and team! Thanks again
