World Race Training Camp.

Where do I even begin?

What an experience. Simultaneously empowering and exhausting.

On the one hand, you get to meet 50+ new friends who love and support you unconditionally. On the other hand, you get a taste of what it means to not know where (or perhaps I should say “if”) you’re going to sleep.

But that was exactly the point – break you down and build you up together. After experiencing Camp with R Squad, we truly are a Wolfpack (cue howl).

So what did we do at Training Camp?

We had squad workouts, team-building exercises, and bucket showers. There were challenging meals (I ate some fish…), delicious pastries, and clean-up duty. We had community tents, wet tents, and no tents (ask any of my squadmates about Tarp Night). We got sunburned, we got rained on, and we had perfect weather. We set up tents while blindfolded, ate dinner in the most eclectic market I’ve ever seen, and choreographed a dance for Squad Wars.

But TC is so much more than what we did – it’s who we did it with. Now, I am part of a Wolfpack. And I have a new family called Galene.

It is with these folks that I will spend the next year, following the Lord where He leads; and having been through TC together, we share a bond (strange though it may be) that makes us a powerful tool for the Kingdom.
