This past weekend I had a yard sale to help raise money for my trip! For months, members of my church have been donating things for me to sell, and it has been a huge blessing to see my church family support me enthusiastically.

On Friday I had to leave the yard sale in the morning to go to a few classes, leaving the yard sale to my mom and grandparents. (shout out to my mom for basically running the whole thing, and to my grandparents, for being an enormous help!) After my classes ended, I returned in the late morning to find this:

Meet Emme and Parker, 4-year-old (i think) friends, members of my church, and now partners in my ministry. You see, Parker and Emme’s families (and some of their friends) donated some free-range eggs, and Parker and Emme spent hours, both on Friday and Saturday, selling them at my yard sale, putting all their profit toward my trip. In those two days, they raised about $50!

On Saturday, Emme’s brother, Coleman helped sell eggs too, and their friend Owen helped for a time as well.

Needless to say, I felt very humbled and blessed that such young children spent their time to work to help send me to the nations.

Looking back, I realize how much this shows us that none of us has any excuse to not follow Christ in His work. You can never be too young, too old, too unconfident, or too anything! No matter your situation, God wants to use you in some way. He may want you to leave home and live in foreign lands for 9 months. Or me might want you to spend your weekend selling eggs. Whatever work God has for you, do the work faithfully!

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” -Colossians 3:23

As you can see at the top of this blog, I have now reached $5,482 in my account with AIM. I have a deadline of $6,000 by May 3, just 19 days away! Please help me raise the last $518 to get over this goal!

Thank you all for all of your support! God is so good!
