It’s hard to believe that we have already been in Ukraine for two weeks already. So far I have really enjoyed our time here. The family we are staying with is great. They are from the States and have been here for 6 years ministering in several different areas. It’s nice to live with a host that shares the same likes and dislikes especially when it comes to food.
We have gone to a few of the high schools in the area and talked to them about our trip so far, the places we have visited, and the reasons for why we are here. After talking with them we have the students show us around the town, it’s a great opportunity to get to know the students more and it gives them a chance to show off their town. We have also helped with a couple eye glass clinics spending time with the locals, praying for them, and telling them about Christ as they come to get a new pair of glasses. One day we helped with a farming seminar our contact was putting on for some people in the local community, teaching them different ways to provide food for themselves.
This week we are going to a neighboring town to do a few more eyeglass clinics, visit a couple high schools, and teach English. Except this time we will be staying with different local families in the area. I’m really looking forward to having the opportunity to spend time with a local family and learn more of the culture here.
Thank you all for your support and prayers. I hope everyone has a great Easter. They actually do not celebrate Easter here until next weekend, and I can’t wait to see some of the different traditions they have here.
