doing orientation and getting ourselves prepared for the ministries ahead. It’s
been an awesome time of getting to know our team better, great worship, and a
little sightseeing too.

Here’s what we have coming up…
Starting Saturday teams will begin to leave and head to
their ministry sites for the month. Some groups will be working with kids,
others doing work with homeless shelters, still others working at conferences
doing hospitality. Team LPP is excited to be TRAMPING NEW ZEALAND! Tramping is
a NZ word for camping/hiking. Our team will be backpacking through the
mountains and beaches along the NZ coast for 2 weeks. Honestly, we’re probably
going to see some of the most beautiful places in NZ, maybe even in the world!
At first glance this looks like a vacation, but it’s going
to be harder than it sounds. This hiking trail is a large tourist attraction
and many people from around the world come here just to hike this trail. LPP
will need to be very intentional with our actions as our goal is to
build relationships with other hikers along the way. Also, we’ll be carrying
our packs with us and camping in the wilderness along the way. That said, we
won’t be able to blog again until the end of the month. But, there’s a second
part to our ministry for January…
The last 5 days before we depart NZ we’ll leave the
wilderness behind to join up with another group and work hospitality at a local
Christian conference. Once there we’ll most likely have internet access and be
able to update on our tramping adventures!
allowing us to be a part of this month! We ask for prayers for team unity as we
jump right into intense community with LPP. Also pray for our actions during tramping that we would be
intentional in everything we do. Please pray for us to have hearts of a servant
while work the conference. Lastly please continue to pray for safety for LPP
and all the WR teams.
talk to you in a few weeks…and if you’re bored until then you can check out some other blogs from WR Jan. Team 1!
