This is a video my extended teammates Keturah Weathers and Lauren Outcalt made about our ministry in Thailand. The work they did is amazing – they truly captured the real emotions we saw every night on Bangla Road.
Just a few things to think about while you watch this video…
I don’t think I even really need to mention this, but please look at the facial expressions of the girls. Do you see someone who (like many men in Patong believe) loves her job and is excited to be where she is?
Also, consider what I briefly mentioned in my last blog – think about these girls and how much you and I have in common with them. As you watch them, try to imagine if they were your sister, your friend, or even if this was you. Think about the fact that these girls are facing a lot of similar stressors that we face – trying to pay the bills, wanting to feel important, etc. They are just normal people trapped in an abnormally twisted lifestyle.
They need Christ. They need love.
