Our time in the Philippines has come to an end. It was an amazing month, here’s a few pictures to recap some of the great memories we had there. Enjoy!

Amy with one of our friends at the dump.

The CG had us play a super hard game of pronouncing Tagalog words…Erin is trying to concentrate.

One of Drew’s many fans, JB.

Erin got to baptize her friend Michelle!

Dance party at the CG…
clearly Drew is enjoying it the most.

“Mabuhay Kabigan” means Goodbye Friends.

The boys at the CG treated us to Balut, a Filipino delicacy. It’s a half-fertilized duck egg; half-fertilized meaning that it has a formed beak, feet, and feathers!

Drew and Nate doing the first step of eating Balut – drinking the salty egg juice.

L.P.P. celebrating Nate’s 25th birthday!

Us on our last night with Ariel.
We miss everyone at the CG!

Here are just a few ministries that The World Race came in contact with last month. The Philippines are full of need, but also full of opportunities to get involved and help out. Click the links below if you want to be a part of God’s work in the Philippines!

Kids International Ministries was our main contact this month. Jeff Long, director of K.I.M., and his family have been impacting Filipino lives for almost 20 years.

The Children’s Garden was where L.P.P. spent the most time this month. The CG houses and disciples former street boys ages 15-18.

The Jeepney Magazine is a street paper that gives homeless people a way to make a living while spreading the word about poverty.

Threads of Hope is an organization that gives jobs to needy families and women trying to escape a life of prostitution. By selling the bracelets they make, it allows them to make money in a dignified way.
