Hello from New Zealand! We have officially arrived at our
first leg of The World Race – how exciting! Both M and N squads are here at
orientation, so roughly 115 of us will be spending the next week together
getting ready for what God has in store for us over the next year. After this
week we will travel with team LPP to our first ministry site. As of now we
don’t know exactly where in NZ that will be or what we’ll be doing there. What?
No details? Welcome to The World Race! As soon as we know, we’ll let all of you
know so you can be praying for us more specifically. But until then, we have a
few requests…
First we want you to join us in thanking God for the safe
travel He allowed us all! We all made it safely without any major problems.
Next we ask that you would be praying for our New Zealand ministry. Whatever it
might be, please be praying that our team would work selflessly together to
bring hope and love to the people we will be serving. Please also pray that
each of us would be confident in using our gifts, but also courageous to do
things out of our comfort zones. Next pray for team unity, safety, and especially
pray for the people we come in contact with.
We don’t know a ton yet about New Zealand but what we do
know is that the Kiwi people are much like Americans in that the majority of
them have heard the gospel but few of them believe. Our main prayer request is
that God will soften the hearts that have been hardened towards Christianity.
Thanks for all of your prayers and encouragement! We’ll be
giving more details as soon as we can!
much love.
