It’s that time again – time to give us your
thoughts on our latest discussion…
WE WANT CHANGE!
Living in community has been interesting,
challenging, and rewarding to say the least. On our last Feedback Friday we
talked about what holds us back from embracing community and allowing people
into our lives. < Special thanks to all of you who commented or e-mailed us
your thoughts > As we’ve continued to figure out this whole community thing,
we’ve come across yet another
intriguing aspect….change. We’ve found that when something in your community
needs to be changed, often YOU are the answer.
But this goes far beyond our little community of 6
we have here on The World Race. It’s big. When something is wrong in your
neighborhood, when you desire something more out of your relationships, when
your nation is destroying itself, often YOU are the answer.
“You must be the change you want to see in the
world.” – Gandhi
This has really struck me personally this month as
we work face-to-face with poverty on a daily basis. I often find myself
thinking, “Poverty is ridiculous! This should never be happening.” Well then, Erin, what are you doing to change that?

I’m not saying I can personally end world poverty.
What I am saying is that if I sit back and wish for an end to poverty, I’ve
done nothing to implement the change I want to see. And I am saying that in my
relationships and in my community if I want to see radical change happen, then
I need to step up and BE that change.
So here are the questions:
What kind of change are you looking for in your
life? (Feel free to get personal, you can leave us an anonymous comment if you
need to!)
What is holding you back from being the change you
want to see?
Alright leave us a comment, e-mail us, facebook
us, whatever. Just give us some feedback!
