Uganda
has been nothing short of awesome so far! Although it’s one of our shortest
ministry months this year, it’s already looking like it will be a favorite for
sure. We don’t have much internet access – we just took a 2 hour, bumpy,
crammed ride from our small village into town just so you could see a small
peek at what we’ve been up to – so enjoy this and there will be more to come…
Uganda
is not at all what we expected, especially when it comes to scenery. It’s
combating with New Zealand
and (Drew’s experience of) Thailand
for the most beautiful country we’ve seen this year. Who would have
thought?

With all the beautiful scenery around, we hardly give any
thought to our cramped living situations. This has actually been a blessing for
our entire team to stay in one room – it makes for lots of laughs and good
talks as we fall asleep every night.
We’ve been spending many of our days at local schools
speaking to the students about making good choices, following the Lord…
…and meeting and encouraging the faculty at those schools.
And to no surprise, the people in Uganda (especially the children)
are absolutely beautiful.
One more thing that makes this month so great is that we
were invited to attend an African wedding! It was an honor to share this
special day with the couple and see how culturally different weddings are in
Africa versus America.
Our team was even invited to sing a song and share words of encouragement
during the ceremony.
