Throughout our journeys in 2010 you got to read a lot about our thoughts and see a few pictures of our crazy lives. But there are still TONS of things you don’t know about our experience on the World Race. Here are just a few of those things…

1. While tramping in New Zealand we and a few of our teammates are about 99% sure we saw an angel.

2. In Australia we ate kangaroo at a pool party.

3. Drew and our friend, Bill, avoided getting ticketed by convincing the police in the Philippines that their American licenses made them legal to drive worldwide.

4. We had roaches in our room in Cambodia that were 3 inches long. [The one pictured is a small one.]

5. Because of our different ministries, Thailand was one of Drew’s favorite places and one of Erin’s least favorite.

6. In Kenya Erin got a skirt custom made for her for only $4 USD. Try to get that in America!

7. In Tanzania Drew’s shoes were stolen on his birthday in broad daylight off of our front porch. The thieves took 3 pairs of shoes but didn’t bother with the other 12 laying in the pile.

8. Our favorite mode of transportation in Uganda was on the back of motorcycles or as the locals called them, “picki picki.”

9. In Romania we played basketball and ultimate frisbee almost every single day.

10. In Slovakia we ate more pizza in 1 month than in our entire lives combined.

11. Erin fell asleep during Act 3 of a Ukrainian opera.
