Let me just say, I love India. It was the experience I feared the most for many reasons. Still, some cultural differences have thrown me for a loop: our bus from Hyderabad to Bangalore stopped for a bathroom break where I hopped off the bus and saw 15 guys lined up on the side of the road in the headlights doing their business. One of the MANY stray dogs in this neighborhood ran off with my teammate’s shoe one night. We are helping out at a children’s home here in the evenings and participating in some random ministry opportunities in the mornings. I haven’t written a blog about India yet for one main reason, I don’t know what to say. Every day here brings something new. I have preached a sermon, I have spoken at a rehab clinic, I have attended a seminary graduation, I have prayed for the sick, I have taught about Joshua, Noah, Moses, Joseph, Daniel. So many things are happening here, I don’t know how to sum it up. It’s that simple. I can’t give you a catchy theme in it all because it changes. I can’t give you the struggle here because it changes. This is a month where I just have to go with it. Ministry looks like anything and everything here. Our biggest ministry is just living in and loving on India.
Pray for my team though. Pray for our health. Pray for the kids we get to love on each evening. Pray for miracles to happen here.
