This is Joshua! Fifteen years of supressed joy and light now pour through his eyes. He enjoys laughing, long walks through the village, meeting new people, flirting with the ladies, and of coarse–music.
Joshua is my best buddy here at SCH (Sarah's Covenant Home). He is the one who–without words, taught me what I shared in my last blog post about God's method of healing in these kids and His redemption of stolen joy. Joshua has CP. He is not mobile or verbal, so our best buddy time mainly consists of pushing his wheelchair through the village, visiting his old and new friends along the way, listening to music, picking lint out of his almost non-existent hair like a momma chimp (I have no idea how it gets there), and laughing the whole time!
Joshua stole my heart the very first day I met him which was our first full day at SCH. On my second day of our best buddy time, (about two weeks later), I finally understood why. I was singing "Created to Worship", and he was just smiling and giggling like he does. He looked back at me and there it was–that unmistakable little light in his eyes, the one I mentioned in my last blog as the one that grows from a heart truly touched by God.
God favors this one.
And my heart favors this one.
I deeply hope you will join me in my time here at SCH and with Joshua by praying for him! Prayers for Joshua:
Someone to foster "wisdom home", the home of four boys that Joshua is currently in.
A forever family to adopt him and lavish him in the crazy love that God has for him.
Supernatural healing
Continued, unstoppable joy!
