This past week a lot of things have changed. As a squad we gathered from all around Eastern Europe into Sofia, Bulgaria for a weekend of change, grieving, and celebration. By the Lords leading, leadership has spent significant time praying into how teams will be switched around as they raise up new squad leaders to take us through the rest of the year as our current leaders (Stacy, Brian, and Caitlin) will be leaving us after debrief at the end of our time here in Turkey.
Denise and Michael Murphy along with Tamica Sloan have been called up to be our new Squad leaders!! We are so blessed and honored to have them on the front lines fighting for us and behind the scenes working out so many of the CRAZY details involved with taking 45 people around the world for a year! God knew exactly what He was doing raising up these three to our squad into this new season…
I have been moved to the all girls team. They are one of the few that didnt change much. I’ll be honest and say that I doubted God and questioned more than a few times in the last couple days- “Are you sure you know what you’re doing God… I’m REALLY in love with JoHoLo and this all seems a little crazy is you ask me!” (well I suppose there may have been moments when my words weren’t as gentle. But God can handle all of us… not just the pretty polite parts.) I took a few days to grieve, but then I pleaded for forgiveness as I realized what He was doing with this incredible team of women… and I felt honored and humbled to be a part of TEAM FRESH!!.
I’m not sure what’s about to happen, but I know and trust its gonna be beautiful! He has already, in 2 short days, started to show me purpose in this, His love for me, and how much He’s preparing us women for. We’re puttin on our armor and walking into battle.
