I never thought that there was such a difference with the flesh and the Spirit. I always thought that the flesh was tempted by the world and of the world. However, this month I talked with other people and learned more about how the flesh and the Spirit are always battling each other.  It has become clear to me that our flesh is so weak and our Spirit is learning to grow in the Father.

I thought that being tempted by the world was what made my flesh weak. Like the things we should not be drinking, some movies, and maybe the way people dress. But it is much deeper and clearer now. The flesh is weak when it comes to letting the Spirit learn from the Father. That being said, here in Romania it is so cold to wake up in the morning to spend time with the Father, where the flesh steps in by saying it is so warm here in the bed. I want to be around people and watching movies or playing games; for the flesh does not care how much time you do or don’t spend time with the Father.

However, the Spirit wants to spend time with the Father so it can grow stronger and know how to battle with the enemy. Also it helps the Spirit to connect with the Father more and to let the flesh beware of this battle. Being here in Romania, you have to fight to spend time with the Father because you work from 10 am till lunch and have maybe an hour break and then go back to work till 6 pm. The flesh is like pooped and just wants to relax and hang out with the people around you. And the Spirit wants to have that quiet time with the Father. So now comes the time to truly fight for the Father to find and spend that time with him. He wants his children to grow deeper in Him and understand that we need to be prepared for when the enemy does attack.

So this month it has been very interesting to learn that the flesh and the Spirit are at battle. With this knowledge I need to personally let my Spirit win. For my Father keeps fighting for me against the enemy.  Now it is my time to fight for him and let the Spirit learn and grow closer to the Father.
