Trusting God isn’t easy and that’s what we want to do without any reservations. During our kids ministry, we would play soccer, sing songs, tell Bible story’s, and in between all that we would throw the kids in the air. The kids trust that we will catch them when they start falling from the sky. Like the kids, us believers want that kind of trust with God if we don’t already have it.

Trust is hard to give out, sometimes even scary to give out. Why is it so hard for us to trust our God to with problems in our life? There was one child that was scared of letting go of me when I would go to throw him. I saw a bit of myself in him in the aspect of trusting God. Why won’t I let go of my problems and let Him throw me in the air to let me soar in the sky?

As a man, I believe it’s been put in our heads that men shouldn’t accept help with our problems because we are men. And that’s why it’s so hard. We’ve been told our whole lives men shouldn’t need to be helped with their problems because it’s unmanly to ask for it. It’s a building of trust for us. God trusts us, He already knows us. What we need to do is get to know Him more and more deeply so we do have that trust and we can soar like He wants us to. So let’s work on letting go when he wants to throw us in the air.

This is my goal. I want to have such trust with the Lord like John has with me.
