Women’s conference was full of a lot more dishes and cooking! It was great to be able to experience the little time we had with them, even though we were more behind the scenes of it all. As that ended, we were able to take a couple of days and go to the surrounding cities to explore and indulge ourselves in the culture. Earlier this week we were driving to one of the cities and got to see a CASTLE!!!! HOW COOL IS THAT!!! After we ended that day, our ministry hosts brought their son a daughter to visit while we were here. It’s been a blast being around them, and I hope I can get to know them more.
This weekend we had a group of 25 people stay here for a youth conference. They only stayed here one night, but they had a huge impact on the atmosphere for me. The past week or so I’ve been doing a bible study of Psalms and Matthew with family back home. It has helped me get out of a slump I’ve been in lately. Last night I prayed about fundraising again, and I haven’t really been praying about it for a while. I woke up and checked my fundraising mark and I was so over come!! I am currently fully funded for the rest of the World Race!! It is such a weight to be lifted off of my mind. Thank you everyone who has partnered with me and prayed for me! God has been so generous. I sometimes try to understand the depth of love He has for us and I think of the verse, Romans 5:8 “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Even though we were defying God, He still sent Jesus so that we can turn back with our sins forgiven.
