During our Month 8 debrief in South Africa, the guys sat down and wrote a testimony for those in each of our communities. My brother, Isaiah Carter, wrote a testimony about the different man that is returning to the states…
Thomas Dosson Stubblefield II,
I am writing this as a witness and true testimony.
I want to make it clear that the Dosson who left Childersburg, Alabama in August is not the same man who will be returning in June.
Dosson was already a larger-than-life personality and natural leader, but I’ve seen God totally transform him. God took a confident speaker and taught him how to preach the gospel with passion. God took a strong, charismatic leader and broke him with lessons of humility and servanthood. God took a man of ambition and striving to be the best and showed him it is better to lessen himself. God took a man who loved people and showed him how his heart breaks for them.
I have seen Dosson walk through the valley of the shadow of death where he had to face his demons and battle the enemy. And I have seen him walk out of that valley strengthened by the pain and shining with the light of redemption by grace. Dosson understands that God is with him in the fight. He knows how to let go and leave it up to his Almighty Father. God has led Dosson through surrender, healing, authority, humility, and strength.
Dosson is a man undefined by his past or pain. Honestly, it breaks my heart knowing some of the trials life has thrown at him, and I’ve shared some of those pains. And because of this, I know what it takes to let God heal them and restore with redemption.
So who is this redeemed son of the Most High King?
He is a mirror for Jesus. He makes humility his job every day. He is constantly seeking to put others ahead of himself, encourage them, edify them, and build them up. He is obedient to the Lord and seeks His will. He hears God’s voice, believes in it, and obeys it. Dosson has answered the call to be a shepherd, a pastor, and he has a fiery passion for leading the body of Christ. He knows God’s word and is blessed with wisdom every day. He speaks prophetically and prays intensely. He shares the truth of the gospel and God brings salvation and healing and freedom. He is a freed man showing others the freedom that Christ offers.
Dosson is a man who pours his whole heart into the things that matter. His empathy and love for people is woven into his core, and he is willing to sacrifice all of himself to help someone who needs it. He is joyfully generous, with time, money, possessions, wisdom, love. He desires to give away all that the Lord gives to him.
Dosson understands that his life is not his own, and it is not about him. He is a Holy Spirit filled, Holy Spirit led, new creation of God. And that’s every day. When Dosson speaks, it’s God’s words, and people listen. When Dosson prays, it’s God’s desires, and they are answered. When Dosson acts, it’s a reflection of Christ, and lives are changed.
There are some people in this life that you meet, and you just know they are special. Dosson is one of those people. God has placed a special anointing on this man, and he desires to give God all the glory. Dosson will lead the body of Christ as the church, and he will do it well. He will allow Holy Spirit to work through Him to provide healing, redemption, freedom, and salvation. He will be used by God to change this world.
He left his home, a sinner saved by grace.
He returns home, Dosson Christ Stubblefield, a man after God’s own heart.
