My month in Lesotho was absolutely amazing. We lived in the Malealea Valley, also known as The Valley of Paradise. The mountains were massive and breathtaking, and the people were amazing. The best way to describe Lesotho is unique. There is no other place like it on earth.

I learned so much about loving people right where they are, physically and spiritually. Trusting the Lord to do a work in those around me and walk in that authority is mich easier said than done. The Holy Spirit can do miraculous things when you remove yourself and allow him to use you.

Our team Evangelized in a village for the month. This month was an incredible month of growth for me, and allowed me to experience what the Holy Spirit can do when you allow him to use you.

I had the privilege of getting to know a lady named Celina who lived in the village we served. The first time we met her, we were able to hear her life story. She is one of the nicest ladies I’ve ever met, and she was very happy to have us in her company.

It wasn’t long after that I found myself, along with two of my teammates, standing in her “prayer room” while she practiced witchcraft and ancestral worship. It was a very intense, uncomfortable, and heart breaking first experience for me. We spent hours standing in that hut praying against those spirits, and explaining to her the true power of the Holy Spirit and how he is not confined to physical objects.

Fortunately, by the end of the month she had laid down her ropes, and chose to trust in Jesus and power of the Holy Spirit. It was amazing to see the transformation that took place in her life in just 3 weeks time.

Sadly, this is just one story of many in the villages of Lesotho. The churches of Lesotho have found a way to intertwine witchcraft with the gospel, and have completely deceived the people.

To make sure I’m clear, I had no clue what I was doing. I was very hesitant to step up most of the month, but this experience is why I was able to see not only the impact we made, but the need for more. What this place needs more than anything is you. They need missionaries that are ready to bring Kingdom and lead them to Christ.

Like my teammate Lynna said: “Their is evidence of God all over this valley. My prayer is that they see God for who he is, not who they think he should or who they want him to be.”
