We started this journey out with nine, and we have picked up three along the way. Two of those three will be heading home to pursue what the Lord has for them while three more will be joining us. I feel like I should ask how many people are on the team because it sounds like one of those math problems you get in grade school.

For those of you who worked it out probably said thirteen, but the answer is fifteen. That’s because no matter where they are, they remain a part of us. Proximity changes, but dynamic does not.

Teammates will come and go throughout this journey, and now we have decided to divide in to two groups. We are still one team with one mission, but with two directions. And those teams may change at anytime, depending on how the Lord leads.

For now, my group consists of six teammates. Me and five women. We left the Grand Canyon and headed toward Phoenix after departing from the other group. We had no plans or direction on where to stay.

On our way, we past a campground in Sedona, AZ (Coconino National Forest). We pulled in just to check availability and pricing. The price was under our budget, and there was one spot left… So we set up our tent in the rain, and went and got everything we needed for our time there. By the way, this tent was well out of our budget, and the man ended up selling it to us for what we could afford. Then our neighbors let us borrow a pop-up tent to put over our table until we could get our own. We ended up spending 5 days at the campground, and we were able to connect with the camp hosts and grow closer together.

Now we have found ourselves at YWAM (youth with a mission) Las Vegas. We left Sedona with no plans or direction. We made it all the way to the Nevada/Arizona state-line and had either been rejected or not contacted back by the church and ministries we had reached out to for potential lodging. We were about 15 minutes from Las Vegas when YWAM Vegas called us back. At first the cost a night was over our budget so we didn’t think it would work. As we began to look elsewhere, they called us back and said that we could stay for the price of our budget. They have opened up their space up to us and treated us like family.

God is moving in our group in amazing ways, and he has blessed us with more than enough.

I share all of this to share what I feel on my heart: Never allow your expectancy of the Lord to cause you to take Him for granted.

Knowing that the Lord will provide for us should drive us deeper in to worship, not to a place of superficial acceptance. Our Father doesn’t provide for us just for the sake of providing. He does it to remind us WHO we are and WHOSE we are. We are his creation. We are his children.

Hebrews 13:5 says: Keep your life free from the love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

So every time He provides for us, He’s reminding us as his children that we have nothing to worry about. We have been validated by the blood of Jesus and we lack NOTHING… He is worthy of endless praise, and he gives us endless reasons to do so.

Our team left Las Vegas last week, and we have in San Diego since. Please keep us in your prayers as we continue on the west coast.
