So much growth came in month one and our team experienced a lot. We had to press in to the hard times, but the fact that we were able to do it together and push one another higher was the part that mattered most. Team Atlas’s experience in Serbia is one we will always look back on. It was our first month on the race. It was our first time away from our comforts. We abandoned everything we knew to chase after the heart of Jesus together and that all started for us in Serbia.

Living in community teaches you so much about yourself. There are times where you would give anything to escape your community and be alone. And there are also times where you don’t know how you would make it without them. Having the opportunity to get to know my teammates and their stories has been an awesome experience. There is still so much we have to learn about each other, but the vulnerability aspect of our team and squad has allowed us all to grow closer together than I think most of us originally intended.

I am honored to walk alongside my community (X-squad and Team Atlas) and celebrate each other and all that God is doing in us and through us. We have 10 months left together and the longer we are on this journey together, the more it seems like that is not enough.

Hebrews 10:24 says, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds…” Being able to walk this out together is a beautiful thing and I cannot describe how much my squad has impacted my life already.

Month 2 is all squad month so all 45 of us are living in community together. I cannot wait to see the fruit that comes from the next 4 weeks!
