I officially have 10 days to be fully funded. I am at $4,800 of the $8,000 needed to be fully funded. I have been fundraising for three years now, and that total is at nearly $40,000. I trust that the Lord can and will provide, but more than anything, I want to make sure that you trust me. That my ask has not been for sponsorship but for partnership. That it’s clear that the Kingdom we have been doing is a collective effort that requires me and you. That you know the resources you have given are being used to bring the Kingdom of Heaven to earth.
During the last three years that I have been a traveling missionary, I have traveled to 4 continents, 19 countries, and 25 states. I have been on 36 airplanes, 12 buses, 2 trains, a ferry, and then a 1 mile walk across the Thailand/Myanmar border. I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve orphans and widows, a special needs home for adults, disaster relief, homeless communities, and families in their homes. That doesn’t begin to scratch the surface of the mission work I’ve been blessed to have my hands in. I have seen a countless number of different bodies of believers who are sold out to the call of Christ. I have seen the Kingdom of Heaven all over the world and here in the states. Through all of this, the longest I’ve been anywhere is just a few months, my belongings have been condensed in to a 50L bag, and I haven’t had place to call my own. I have loved every single minute of it, from the hardest moments and conversations to the the greatest moments and victories, this season of my life has left me with nothing but thankfulness and hope for the future. And most importantly, it has taught me that a life on mission never stops.
This next season of life looks nothing like the last three years. It is still hard to comprehend that I’ll be starting 2020 as a married man with a job and a home. Honestly the only thing that will be familiar after this journey is my fiancé because we’ve been through it all, from friends to life-long partners, we been blessed to share this experience. I am so excited to reconnect with some of my life-long friends and be able to love on my people. And what an honor it is that we get to take our experience and give it all away to the most precious place on this earth for me, my hometown Childersburg, Alabama.
This is it. It is bittersweet to start coming to terms with this journey and season of my life coming to a close. It has been an experience that I will cherish for the rest of my days. It has exposed my weaknesses and my strengths. It has humbled me and molded me in to the man I need to be for Christ in this world. I wouldn’t trade this time of being a traveling missionary for anything.
God Bless
