Our team is here at in Hlegu, Yangon, Myanmar. This is the first month we do not have running water, internet, or AC. Every building is either open air or awfully close to it. We are in the absolute middle of nowhere, and I love it.
We are at Myanmar Mission College, and we have the privilege of teaching English and delivering messages at chapel in the morning and at night.
What makes this month even more of a transition is the fact that it is the first stop with our new teams. You would think that we would be seasoned veterans going in to Month 6, but the reality is we are literally starting over with everything that we thought we knew about the race.
It is absolutely beautiful to see how God is working in all of our lives just after a couple of weeks together. We could not have been placed in a better position as a team than we have. God has made his presence evident in this team and ministry.
My biggest takeaway from the realization of being in complete contrast with my experience so far on the race is that our God truly adores us. You will find yourself in places and situations never thought you would be in, but it doesn’t take long to realize that you’re in a better position than you could have ever placed yourself in.
