HELLO sweet souls!
Thank you so much for taking the time to hop on over to my blog!
My name is Dorrie, like the fish (this is 100% the real way I introduce myself in real life, I actually say like the fish)
I’m 20 years old from Houston, TX and I LIVE for road trips, rice, dogs, Birks & spreading kindness as best I can.
I’ve been involved in Youth Ministry since high school and now get to volunteer as a catechist for high school kids and staff retreats. If you’ve never experienced a retreat before – TRY IT! Retreats are one of my favorite things in the world.
I have a always had a relatively dry sense of humor and my family communicates through sarcasm 85% of the time.
Colorado is pretty rad and is my favorite state I’ve visited so far but as soon as I get to Oregon all bets are off. I have a strong fascination with the PNW and can’t wait to see it someday.
I’m a huge fan of all things tye-dye & colorful but for some reason tend to wear the same oversized cream sweater as often as I can.
My parents have given my sister and I the greatest gift of being able to travel to Ireland, Mexico and Costa Rica. I have a special spot in my heart for Costa Rica, the country as a whole is one joyous bunch that lives on chicken rice and the words and mentality of Pura Vida.
I picked St. Nicholas for my Confirmation saint because I love giving gifts THAT much. And because he is a beacon of warmth and festivity.
Being able to experience other parts of the World has always been a dream but now that it can be a reality I haven’t sat still. There are so many hearts to touch and so many hugs to give across the globe, if I can be one small part in a very large movement to spread goodness I will gladly jump on that train.
THANK YOU for stopping by & be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss any of the updates from preparing to launch and from life on the field!
