First off, thanks for taking a look at my first blog post. These things have never been my cup of tea but I hope that you enjoy them.

If you haven’t already heard, I recently have signed up to do the World Race in October 2016. The World Race is a Christian mission trip that sends 21-35 year olds on an 11 month journey to 11 countries. Each month is a different country and during our time in that country my team and I will do everything from building houses to running orphanages and everything in between. My team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, and minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking. This is an awesome opportunity for me to both grow in my faith and grow the kingdom of God and I couldn’t be more excited. The countries in my route are India, Nepal, Cambodia, Vietnam, South Africa, Swaziland, Botswana, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, and Peru.

This mission trip, like most non-for profit trips, requires us to raise all of the money needed for the entire trip. In order for me to go on this amazing journey and impact the world I need to fundraise $16,961 by next year. This will cover all of my travel, lodging, and day to day expenses. So if you are interested at all in supporting me and this great cause or just finding out more of how you can get involved I would encourage you to check out my fundraising page online.

This blog will serve as my main form of communication to all my friends and family when I am out on the field and this will also be the best way to see all the cool stuff I will be doing. So I would really appreciate it if you followed me and shared it with everyone. You can also check out my “About” page to get a little more information on me and how the world race has been influenced on my life.

Again thanks for checking out my first blog and stay tuned in for more in the near future. If you are curious about anything concerning me or the world race please don’t hesitate to contact me. I love to tell people about what I am doing and my story.

In Christ,

Donovan McCloskey
