So God has given me a new team, and although I am incredibly and deeply sad that I cannot be with team HIS for the rest of the Race, I am excited to introduce you to my new team, Divine Collision:
Lil is our leader, and I’m so excited to have such a woman of God on our team. Many people have told us how strong her Godly love is that she shows to the people on her team, and we’re all looking forward to learning from her wisdom and leadership skills. She’s got a fun-loving side to her that’s going to make life a blast, and she’s got a serious heart for God.
Nancy’s another one of V squad’s four Canadians, and a great woman of God. She’s got a kind and quiet heart, and although I haven’t gotten to know her well yet I’ve seen a real desire for living in step with what God wants for her life.
Sarah is another woman on our squad I haven’t had the chance to spend a lot of time with, so it’s a blessing to be able to spend time getting to know her. She is a sweet girl with a big heart and a serious love for God, and I know she’ll have a lot to bring to our team.
I’ve already said a lot about Katie in my last post, but I’m so incredibly excited that I get to continue to share life with this amazing woman of God. She’s walking into a season of searching out God and what it looks like to walk in Him every day, and she is beginning to stretch more and more the spiritual gifts she’s been blessed with. It’s been an honor to spend time with her these first few months, and it will be yet more of an honor and a pleasure and a blessing to see her continue to grow into the wonderful woman of God He wants her to be.
Will is my brother on the team – there are just unfortunately not enough men on V squad to have more than a pair of guys on every team, so we’ll be mostly paired off. I’ve had the privilege of hearing some of the things that have been on his heart the last month or so, and I’m excited to spend time with him and learn more of the ways God has been molding him. I think there are a lot of ways we will be able to grow and challenge each other over however many months we are together, so I’m thankful to God that although my brother Peter has been called to serve with a different team I still have a strong brother to do life with.
Team Divine Collision is a different dynamic than team HIS, and I hope to learn a lot about God and who I am in Him through my new teammates. I’m excited for the opportunities we will have to do all sorts of exciting misions work together, and that starts with a change in route! This month two teams have been selected to travel to Honduras instead of Nicaragua, and we are one of those teams. God remains sovereign in all things so I know we will be working where He wants us.
Please pray for my new teammates and our ministry in Honduras this upcoming month. Pray for unity for our team as we all adjust to the new dynamic we all have. Pray that we will learn to trust and love each other, and that we will be open and honest with the things in our lives. Pray for safety on our trip and for softened hearts in the people we meet.
See you in Honduras!
