If you ask me I’m ready!“

That moment where life is going good, but you know there’s so much more out there so you ask God to make your life more spontaneous and He does you like Peter, and calls you out of the boat and into the water..Deep Sea? Tall waves? Frightening? Yes, I know especially when you can’t swim!!!! Ahhhh!! God what do I do now? There‘s only one thing to do and those instructions were made clear in proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart…embrace that same boldness that peter had and be the one willing to 1.Ask God 2.Be awkward and Uncomfortable 3. Be obedient and put faith over fear!

You are confined by the walls you build“

Change, Growth, and Transformation can’t take place until you knock down the walls of Comfort around your life because keeping yourself confined in them only keeps you from living the life you want to live, seeing the dreams you want to come to pass come alive, and simply keeps you bound, unfulfilled, and unsatisfied. If any of you have ever seen Moana it’s like the scene where she decides to set out to sea because she believed there was more beyond the reef.

Fear Drowns Faith“

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jonF2PQbw3o

Fear says: “stay in the boat (embrace comfort, stay where I am, doubt God, enjoy familiar territory)

Faith says:“Step into the water (Embrace change, move to new levels, trust God, and conquer fears)

(Aquaphobia) Fear can be paralyzing and keep us comfortable and complacent thinking we’ve reached our highest heights, the best version of ourselves, and our fullest potential when in actuality we haven’t because we’ve been paralyzed either before we stepped out the boat or we stepped out the boat and took our focus off of Jesus as Peter did and began to let doubt and fear set in. How ironic that usually the very thing we fear is that thing that we need to do. Again, I think about the scene in Moana https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hTxJltCIwAo where she returns home and it reminded me that sometimes our very moment of being brave, trusting God, and stepping out of the boat may not be just for us but for for every life God has assigned to us! Sometimes it’s for me to get to my next level, or get everything I’ve ever wanted, while other times it’s to benefit others so sometimes it’s ok to let the unknown and frightening thing become a new norm. If I trust God and keep my eyes on Him, I won’t drown!!

I’ll be the next Peter Teach me trust without borders!”

A few weeks ago after being accepted to the world race proverbs 3:5-6 followed me everywhere I went I then began to ask God to forgive me of holding on to this fear and to allow me to relinquish any fear in my heart concerning the trip to Him and trust Him. I had spent a few days after my initial excitement, scared and discouraged. Where would the money come from? How can I possibly leave everything behind and go? I’ve never even been outside of the united states. What about my family? What if I get sick while I’m away? What’s life going to be like trying to readjust after the world race? and so many more questions were floating to my mind until He came and told me to “be still and trust Him“ ever since I’ve been at peace with the decision and I know He’s going to work out every detail meanwhile I’m going to be like peter I asked and listened now it’s time I trust and obey!
