SAN LUCAS TOLIMÁN, SOLOLÁ
Guatemala

Since Monday we have been in Antigua, Guatemala getting some
more training and getting a feel for Guatemala.
This is a completely different world than anything I have ever
experienced.

Tuesday, we had the opportunity to do some sightseeing: we hiked
to the top of an active Volcano… Would they let you poke molten rock with a
stick in the States?

These last few days have been a cool time for us to adjust
and get to know our teammates better.

In just a few minutes we are going to load up a bus and head
to San Lucas Toliman. We are going to be in San Lucas for the next 26 days
doing some construction and evangelism.  I don’t know a lot about the place yet, but I
have been told the living arrangements will be pretty primitive… which, for the
World Race means tents, the absence of running water, and no electricity. I have also been told that the people we will
be working with are Mayan and involved in a lot of idol worship. I am excited to see what God is going to do.
