So I have been in the process of packing for training camp. This is crazy. Trying to fit everything into my back has proved one of the hardest things I have ever done. I have already packed and unpacked three times. My pack is 45 pounds and stuffed to the brim. I have already cut more than I wanted and sacrificed some things I wanted to bring. THIS IS GETTING STRESSFUL AND OVERWHELMING. Putting my life into a backpack has made this so real. I will be leaving in less than2 months.

In 2 days I am going to ATL for the Man Hike. A group of the men are going on a three day hike/camping trip. This has really made my packing quite hectic. I need a separate packing for the hike and then adding some things for training camp. I was going to use TC as a dry run for packing for launch. Not anymore.

We were told to keep our pack to 25 lb. or less for the hike. My pack, tent, sleeping bag, pad, and clothes weigh that alone. Being a bigger guy really makes this tough. My clothes are larger. My sleeping bag is larger. I keep looking at my bag and wondering how it can be done.

Hopefully I will learn some tricks at training camp.

I will post a new packing blog right before the race. As a big guy, I could have used a packing list more specific to me.

Please pray for my packing and that training camp is a learning experience that helps us all.
