Hey friends,

so I’m currently sitting at a wifi shop in Nicaragua where even typing this is causing me to sweat profusely. With that being said, this will be just a little update on what I’ve been doing for the last 2months here in Nicaragua!

I’ve been living in a small town up in the mountains called Palacagüina. I’ve been living with a man called pastor David as well as his family. Prior to this trip, I never thought I would love a host family so much to the point of constantly being over at their home and having small talk over some amazing Nicaraguan coffee. Pastor and his family are incredible. They care so deeply, impart so much, and love so well. My team mate Lucas and I have been promoted to team translators (by default) and it’s been such a blessing getting to practice my Spanish. Ministry looks like construction from Wednesday to Sunday, as well as church 3-4 times a week. So when we’re not sweating sitting at home, you best believe we’re sweating shoveling some dirt.

I miss air conditioning, Chickfila, my family, my friends, and being able to drive the most at the moment. But I actually don’t necessarily want to leave this place. I love it here, and the people make it all the better. But I also would love to be home, so my predicament at the moment is finding a healthy balance between missing home and being where my feet are at.

So there you have it folks, a brief look into the semi-inner workings of my mind and everyday life. Miss you all like crazy and I’ll catch y’all soon.
