Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this new year is off to a wonderful start for you and this letter finds you well! I am writing this letter to let you know the big changes that are happening in my life and exciting new adventures ahead of me!!! As you may know, I graduated from Northwest Community College this past spring with an associates in Photographic Communication. After school was over I felt extremely restless so I went on a nice three week road trip to see friends and family from northwest WY to southeast WY, Tulsa, OK, TN, SanAntonio TX, Abilene TX and back with of course one more stop in SE, WY before heading back home to Powell; I worked a little while cleaning apartments for the college before moving to MO with my wonderful friend, Tawny, and getting a job as an office manager in KS. With all of the traveling, moving, and starting a new job, I was still restless and feeling like God was calling me to go! But where? Well the answer came by way of a letter from a friend of Tawny’s going on this Missions trip called “The World Race” put on by Adventures in Missions. In the months following that letter I looked into many other trips, avenues of jobs, relationships, but God kept bringing me back to the race. “A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9 So after quite the application and interview I am now going on the race starting in September 2013.
This race is going to be the adventure of a lifetime where I will be going to 11 countries (Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, China, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, India, Nepal, Romania, and Ukraine) in 11 months. “World Racers develop broken hearts that propel their hands to act for God’s kingdom around the globe.” On the World Race my team and I will serve in a partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages and clinics, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restoration and hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
I am so grateful for this opportunity that God has given me, and I am confident that He will provide for my needs! Ultimately, my prayer is that He will do that through you, through prayer and financial partnering. I must raise approximately $18,000 in order to go on the World Race, which covers all of my expenses on the field, my gear, medical shots, and travel to and from my initial launch point. Your support can be given as a one-time gift or as monthly donations, where you can choose the amount and beginning and end date. I know it seems like a lot, and it is but it also covers all my needs and international travel for a year. By supporting me, you will be enabling me to reach people for the Lord on an epic scale with my team. I know that the Lord will provide for me, though I do have some financial deadlines to meet. The first deadline that I have to meet is in June, with three more through the following months a few months after launch.
I will be leaving beginning of September 2013 and returning the end of July 2014. I am very blessed to have this amazing opportunity! I am excited to see how God will move in my life and the lives of others in this coming year! I am hoping to not only be a blessing to those I serve and my team but also to you! I would be honored to go as your representative to bring Christ Jesus to nations around the world and I will be sharing what He’s doing while I’m gone!
