As I prepare for Training Camp and the World Race I am constantly being reminded how blessed I truly am, and how much God is continuing to bless me through every part of the preparation process.
Moving to North Dakota came quickly and was unexpected but in that God blessed my roommate and I with a large group of people to help us move out of our apartment in St. Joseph, MO then He provide even more people to help us move in to our apartment here in Jamestown, ND. Shortly after moving in I was offered a job that is a part time seasonal job and as it turned out I was able to transfer with the Corporation that I was working for in Kansas (I lived in MO but worked in KS), the job will end right before I am set to leave for the race, I have a very flexible schedule that gives me the freedom to take all the time I need on the days that I need to finish getting shots, gear, and training camp while allowing me to work a relatively full schedule (God knows that I have to stay busy to stay out of trouble ;)).
God has blessed me with family and friends that supports me, are there for advice, or just to listen to me work through everything that is spinning around in my head. I have a wonderful family; and friends who are close enough to be considered family. I am truly overwhelmed with how much of a blessing all of them are!!! My parents church has been such a blessing, I don’t know that they will every know how much I have been blessed by them, but they have done so much for me ever since they first heard that I am going on this trip, they even had a garage/craft/bake/lunch/sale to help raise money for me! One of the things that hits me really hard it that I have never attended or been part of their church, I have only visited a few times over the past few years, and yet they have taken me in as if I was a member!!!
Every time I start to stress, my car gets the back door smashed in a hit and run, I start questioning whether being called to go, or I just want to hide in a hole for a few days God shows me how He is blessing this trip already and how this IS His plan for my life!!!
I don’t know why God has chosen to bless me so much but my hope is that He will use me to be a blessing to those around me and as a tool to spread the gospel.
Romans 12:4-8
For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if serving, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
