5 Minutes to update…

So I have 5 minutes until I need to head back to the church we are staying at. So here’s a super quick update…

Central America is awesome. I had my reserves about coming here, but it turns out this continent blew all expectations. Learning more spanish has been fun and interesting. I regularly bomb it in conversations, but that’s ok.

Our hosts this month are amazing… we call them Pastor and Mama. I can’t think of any one else that truly shows love in all aspects. Plus, they’re totally in love after being married for like almost 20 years. It’s super cute.

We’ve had a chance to build relationships with the community, go around the streets and pick up trash, preach at services, do house visits, build things, paint things, teach songs to kids, and other such things.

Our team sleeps in our tents inside the church. There are a ton of bugs, huge frogs… more like massive, huge spiders, scorpions, lizards, moths the size of small birds (not kidding), ants, and the occasional mosquito. We basically live in the jungle. At least I think so.

I bought a fan earlier this month because I was dying of heat. So worth it.

Mama’s cooking is making all of us gain weight. We told her and she said “good”. Oh well.

Monkey (if you’re familiar with him) now has a 5 year old girlfriend in Nicaragua. She’s cute.

I’m getting kinda tan.

At the end of this month me and Kathy are going to visit a child she has been sponsoring for a few years in Nicaragua. I’m going along to make a video… so look out for that!

Whelp, times up!

🙂
