Spectacle knew it would be a crazy month when we found out we’d be working with Team BLING in the bush of Botswana. They told our leaders to send their “adventurous” teams to this location. Spectacle and BLING have a long history of disasterous things happening to them when they travel together, starting with the first Race Day in January. So we formed Team Spling. A combination of ten women and two men who are fighting for the kingdom and love to laugh and have fun.

The day after we got to Botswana we were asked to farm in “the Garden of Eden.” This will eventually be used for food for the people of Botswana.
We spent time getting to know the Walker Family (read Darci’s blog about them) and spending time at thier house.
After being together for 5 days, Spectacle and Bling went to separate locations in the bush. Spectacle went 700 Km North, to be with Dries and Else in Mahopa. It was freezing and we had to wait on the side of the road for the bus.

Halfway through our stay we ran out of water and had to go to the next village over to get some. That day we had some guests from the village for lunch.
When we got back together we were blessed to debrief at a beautiful Baptist Retreat Center on the outskirts of Joburg.
Well, it ended up being a fabulous combination, ending in a Spectacle/BLING laser tag war on our final night together.
