Change.

The only thing that is constant and certain is change. Interesting how that works out isn’t it? We have just experienced some significant changes out here on the race.
Our team Kingdom Unity is no
more.

After leaving Croatia, we arrived in Sofia, Bulgaria for a three day K Squad debrief before heading off to the middle east. It was in Sofia where everything changed. You see, after three months of the race AIM raises up new squad leaders from
within the race participants. So when people are promoted,  that means that teams usually change to fill in the holes.  So a lot of
things got shifted around and after much prayer, every team except one
got shuffled around and changed. Our new K Squad leaders are Tamica Sloan (she was my team leader on Kingdom Unity) and Mike and Denise Murphy.  They are amazing and I love them so much and know that they’re going to do an incredible job.

My new team is called Sofia (because we got our start in Sofia,
Bulgaria. Sofia also means wisdom. We’ll need a lot of that this year
and I think I can speak for everyone when I say I think we’re all hoping to grow in wisdom!)

My team members are:
Grant Tarjick (team leader)
April Wright (she takes sweet photos)
Julia Luu (She’s from Canada!!!!!)
Joe Bunting (from my previous team KU)

Elizabeth (Liz) Bureman (search engine extrodinaire)

All the teams have been made up of 7 until
this point and its always weird cause now its only 6 of us and we feel
like we’re missing someone! So we’ve created an unofficial invisible
7th member. Her name, coincidentally, is Sofia! Its pretty hilarious.
We’re hoping to make a video at some time to introduce you all. Get
excited. (you’ll get to see a photo of her if you go to Liz’s blog!)

I hope to write another blog to introduce you more fully. But for now, you can check out Liz’s introduction of us here.

We laugh alot and have alot of fun. I’m really excited about what God
wants to do. It was hard to split from our first family (Kingdom
Unity), but I know that this is what God wants and its the perfect team
that I need to be on in this next season of life. God is an amazing
Father. He knows exactly what I need and who I need to have on my team.
We’re in Istanbul, Turkey right now and just making memories and
getting to know each other. Its been fantastic. I’m really excited to
see what the rest of this year is going to look like for team Sofia!
