The other day I had a dream about my teammate Drea and the dream, I put my hand on her foot and prayed for it to be healed. Then I went out and saw the stars and I could see all the constellations, I knew all their names and they were brighter than I had ever seen them before. I wondered how I had never seen them that way before. It seemed so clear.

So the next day we were all together as a group for American Thanksgiving in Turkey (how appropriate, turkey day in Turkey). I had the privilege to lead worship for our group and then after that our leaders said they felt that we should pray for healing whether its physical or emotional. I had been dealing with some really hard stuff over the past few days so I went in the middle (along with most of the squad). After we prayed a bit they asked if anybody had any words. I was nervous to share in front of my whole squad of 42 and then all of our leaders and coaches, but knew that I had to speak up.

I shared my dream and it just so happened that Drea was sitting right beside me, but she didn’t have a foot injury, she had an ulcer that was causing her alot of pain and problems. But two of my other teammates (Hollis and Heather Dodge) also sitting beside me had problems with their ankles and feet. Coincidence? I think not! So like in my dream, I laid my hands on them and prayed for healing. This is a gift I’ve been desiring for awhile now and I’ve even had people pray and prophesy it over me, but I’ve never had any “success” with it. Healing is a bit of a touchy subject with me and I wrestle with it alot. I’ll go into more depth about it if you ask me someday. But I’ve gotten to a place where no matter what the results, I have decided it won’t stop me from praying. Michael Hindes, our World Race director said something to us while we were at our Launch training camp in Ireland that really stuck with me: “100% of the people you don’t pray for won’t get healed.” So basically, we just need to pray for people because then they might get healed! But if you don’t pray for them, they won’t! So just pray! You can bring heaven and kingdom down to earth right here and now if you give God the opportunity to show up. What have you really got to lose?

So after I prayed I asked them how they felt. All of them said much better. Hollis said she felt things moving and tingling in her foot where I placed my hand and it was going crazy and was now much better. Heather said her foot definitely felt better as well. (I talked to her a week later and she said she’s all healed! Praise God!) Drea said the pain was gone and then the next day she reported that she had been healed and hasn’t had to take her medicine since we prayed! I asked her a week later and she still hasn’t had to take her medicine. She has been healed!

This is huge for me! God gave me a dream, I followed through and he showed up! The best part is that I didn’t pray any extravagant prayers, I wasn’t even sure if it was going to “work” but I claimed my inheritance and God just came through and healed them! It was all God. It was so simple. It was incredible for me cause its just baby steps. Its amazing that as we’re obedient, God shows up. We have authority to heal people. Its our inheritance as sons and daughters of the all powerful Most High God.

INHERITANCE. This is a word that is becoming increasingly important to me as I go through this race and its changing my life. Its changing my view of God and my relationship with him and its definitely for the better. I know who I am and where I come from. I am who God says I am.  All I can say to you is that you should claim yours today. Its one of the best things you could ever do.

Claim it. I dare you.
