What do you do when the King of Kings invites you to the throne room?
“… the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power.” 1 Timothy 6: 15-16
The answer sounds quite easy when worded this way, right? I mean of course I want to enter the house and spend time with my creator. After all, is not the quintessential question of humankind “who am I?”? Logically would not the creator be the only being capable of fully answering this question?
What if I told you it is an open invitation? Every second of every day. God Sais;
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne.” Revelation 3:20-21
Some of you might say, “Yeah, I will check it out. But what are the strings? Are there any strings attached?”
There are no strings attached, but I assure you your life will never be the same. As Leonard Ravenhill once expressed, “Once you have experienced the fire you can never settle for the smoke.”
“At once I was in the spirit, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne.”
Revelation 4:2
What do you do when the Author of life and the architect of creation sits only feet away?
I tell you what you do, you drop to your face. But what if he stands up, causing the very structure you lay upon to quake, and with his arms open wide, he sais; “Come here child. Will you journey with me? I want to show you who you are and just how big your God is.”?
Say yes. I urge you to take this journey. Some of us have experienced grace the size of the earth, and now God wants to show us love that could fill the universe.
Last month in Nicaragua I preached a sermon on grace. About halfway through the message as I began to question whether the words being spoken were just my words or his, I looked up in the night sky and saw a shooting star. Don’t miss the solar system looking for a shooting star. God is all around you. Open the door! As it stands you already have an open invitation, so just ask.
And today enter the throne room, and allow God to take you to infinity and beyond.
