Hello my friends,
I have been home in Warner Robins for a little over 2 weeks now and a lot has been going on. I have visited 2 unique and amazing churches (see below), witnessed enormous spiritual growth in both myself and my closest friends, attended an inspiring worship concert aptly named theoneproject, experienced the blessing of servanthood through the washing of feet, played some football with the youth, played some basketball with my boyz, and spent countless latenight/ post steak and shake or swimming hours playing ninja… yea ninja!
12 Stone Church
Soo… my good friend Shane invited me to wake up at 7 in the morning and drive 2 hours to a church I have never heard of on the first Sunday I was back in my home town.. and naturally as a good wing man I said yes. This turned out to be a pretty phenominal experience. I got to meet 3 young men after God’s heart who rode along with us (David, Jordan, and Nate) and got to experience the first church I have ever seen with a fully functional starbucks on the inside. The architecture of the church was brilliant and there was plenty of substance there. I enjoyed Pastor Kevin Myers message and delivery. Here is a quote I had never heard before that really stuck with me. ““How much do you have to hate somebody to not proselytize? How much do you have to hate someone to believe that everlasting life is possible and not tell them that?” Penn Jillette, an atheist comedian.
Another church I was blessed enough to visit is a Messianic Jewish Church called Beth Yeshua (House of Jesus). I have to say it absolutely blew my mind and I am excited to share that experience on my next blog. Thank you for all the support so far and anyone who would like to give can do it directly online at the support me link on the left.
Here is a verse that has been on my heart.
2 Corinthians 8: 11-12 ” Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.”
