The word “focus” as a verb was brought into the English Dictionary around 1775. Many photographers understand the crucial need for this action. A picture out of focus can be pretty, but deceiving. Perhaps not always a mistake, but none the less most great photographers know how to focus and capture the subject perfectly… so that the viewer knows what the photo is about. This word has been the word that has gotten me through the last few weeks. Fundraising is starting to get really pressured and time is starting to run out. Pretty soon I will be on the airplane with the J-squad and flying to the first country God has planned us to work in. I recently moved in with two girls that I disciple and the ministry God has placed in my life has taken off. We are walking through basics of faith and questions every day. We are encouraging each other in our walks and persistently trying to make changes so that we maintain our
FOCUS.
It is not the word that has me fired up but what I am focusing on that keeps my world from collapsing. It is important when focusing on something that it remain a grounding source that never changes, never fails. Meaning my focus is on God. Simply put, I have gotten to the point where nothing else will be my focal point. Nothing else will be my picture. Everything else just adds to the picture that has already been taken.
Last week I threw a music festival in my town. My discipleship girls did tons to help out. We were able to raise OVER 1,000 dollars
