Month one of the race has been wild. I turned 19, the squad popped off for my birthday buddy Claire and I, I felt so loved and celebrated. We wrapped up the first month of ministry and we have been blessed enough to stay with the same ministry we’ve been at, Agape Home! WHOOP! I’m so beyond excited to continue pouring into these sweet people. It’s worth the sanding and painting all day. We painted the entire clinic inside and out; I am so proud of us. It took us three weeks but we did it. Amen, praise God. Ten new kids came in when we were there, it was not a pretty sight. The fact that these kids were orphans was known, but it didn’t hit until we saw new kids come in. They were really struggling. The kids we had been loving on had already been at the home for a while and were used to that life, so to see the new kids adjusting first hand was hard. One particular set of siblings really got to me. The older sister is probably no more than four and her brother might be two. She would not let go of her brothers hand, she was very protective over him. She watches him when she’s playing, when we are sitting down she encourages him to come and let us hold him. She is so strong at such a young age, it blows my mind. I held that sweet little boy until the songthaew got there, it was hard to put him down. I prayed so hard for that sweet boy and his sister that night. The next day, they had big smiles on their faces and were playing with the other kids. The joy I felt in my heart was so sweet. God is so good. These are his precious babies. They are going to have amazing lives. It’s going to be hard to leave them when we leave Thailand. I am soaking up every second we have here and at this ministry. Oh, and….. I’M FULLY FUNDED!!!!!
