Hello all, I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Deven Jackson, I live in a small town just north of Atlanta, and I have an amazing life. I have known since I was a little kid that I wasn’t made for the simple life, I’ve always wanted to do something more. Then I heard about the World Race through a friend of a friend, and I was blown away! 9 months filled with the Lord using you and changing your life, while helping others to know Jesus in the process? It sounded too good to be true, so I looked into it and after a lot of thought and prayer, I decided to apply. Weeks passed and with lots of prayer I got my parents on board. And now in 10 months I depart on an adventure of a lifetime. Through this blog, you will see my journey all the way from fundraising to the field! I’m so excited to see how God can use me, to experience three different cultures, and to totally immerse myself into the Holy Spirit and his plan.
