Spiritual warfare is something that is out there that many people don’t want to believe is there. I think often times we are scared to talk about it out of the fear of sounding crazy. But it is real and it is out there.
The good news is:
God has already won the battle
God is faithful
God is strong
God will never leave us
God is our protector
God loves us more than we know
And because we are on God’s side, Satan wants to do everything he can to get us to turn against God. I’m not telling you my experience to scare you or put any kind of fear in you. I’m telling you because I think you should know that these kinds of things really do happen but also that God has power over it all. Here’s my experience from tonight.
–There has been some great things going on in Guatemala and Satan isn’t happy. Gods name is being made known & Satan isn’t welcome anywhere my teammates and I are. It’s 2a.m. right now and I have to be up in 4 hours for another day of ministry. I’ve had trouble falling asleep before but this time it’s different. About 8 of us decided to sleep in the living room in our house just for fun. I couldn’t sleep because I felt the presence of something evil watching me from the dining room that’s connected to our living room. At this point you are probably thinking I’m crazy- because like I said earlier this stuff is never talked about. Everytime I tried to close my eyes an overwhelming sense of fear washed over me. I couldn’t even look in the direction of the dining room, but at the same time I kept looking over there because I knew something was there. 2 other people sleeping next to me woke up around 12:30am saying the exact same things about something being in the dining room. We prayed out loud “in Jesus name you have no power here” & immediately there was a sense of peace like I wasn’t being watched anymore. There have also been other instances in the house that I & other people have experienced that point to Satan’s doing. Satan wants us to fear so we don’t trust Gods plan but I refuse to let Satan get his way. Not now, not ever. God is forever faithful & just speaking His name over these evil spirits makes them run & hide.
Maybe you haven’t actually seen or felt an evil presence in the room with you but there are also other ways Satan tries to distract us from following the plan God has for us.
Have you ever felt like you weren’t worth it?
Have you ever thought you weren’t thin enough, athletic enough, pretty enough?
Have you ever been so burdened by your past mistakes that you felt you’d never escape?
Do you think you’re unlovable or unforgiveable?
None of these feelings/thoughts are from God. God is loving- I’m sure you’ve heard that before but really let it sink in. It’s not about who you are or what you’ve done. God is forgiving and powerful. That’s why we don’t have to live in fear or believe any of Satan’s lies anymore- God has already won this battle for us, it’s not our own battle. If this is something you have faced in your life- either seeing evil spirits or believing Satan’s lies- just know you don’t have to live in chains anymore. Just speaking Jesus name is enough to make Satan hide, and that is pretty dang awesome. This isn’t an experience I enjoy talking about but I want you all to know it is out there & spiritual warfare is happening, but it doesn’t have to be a source of fear anymore.
Satan- you are not welcome here & you won’t have any power over me anymore.
