Hey y’all!

The journey has begun! It was hard to leave family and friends behind but after the first day I knew this was exactly where God wanted me to be. Thank you for all of the support! Without you guys as my backbone and encouragement from home I would never be able to do this mission. You are just as involved in this thing as I am.

Our team of six guys are called His Hands. (My next blog will introduce you guys to my team) We went out this morning with homes of hope which is an outreach program. We layer foundation for a new house today. It was some good manual labor to help the homeless. Homes of hope has built dozens of houses for the impoverished. It really was a blessing to be able to work with such generous people. This work we are doing is in San Jose the capital of Costa Rica. This is not where we will be doing ministry the whole time. We will leave for Puerto Viejo on Thursday.

Now is time for a side note!
So let me tell you something…. Apparently down here there are no traffic laws and the stop signs and street lights are all optional. Go figure! They use there horns more than there brakes. This makes driving on the already overly crowded streets even more stressful! Good luck trying to sleep in the city. It’s constant chaos and noise. But even that’s not so bad it’s just something you get use too.

I’ll talk to you guys soon love ya all!
