Hello my name is Destrey Berto. I was born and raised in Spokane Washington. I’m graduating from Mt Spokane High School. Like many people, I had no idea what to do with my life, until I found World Race Gap Year. What a great way to figure out my own life, while helping others in need. Why waste money on college when one does not know which career to focus on? So here I am ready to take on this God given adventure!
I have three older siblings, thus making me the baby of the family. I grew up in a Christian home with a good foundation.
I’m a very outgoing person, and definitely an extrovert. I love people and building relationships. You could say I’m a people person because I can’t get enough of hanging out with friends and meeting new people. I’m extremely adventurous and love the outdoors. I love physical challenges. This is why I got super involved in rock climbing. I love this sport and its one of my favorite things to do. Hunting, back packing and just living off the land is what I grew up doing. Basically anything outside and active and I am there!
Serving people and making the best out of the worst situations is what I strive for.
