With a restless nap in the airport, the Lord showed me an image of a small boy in a blue and white jacket helping his Mom carry her purse.
I didn’t think to much of it at first. I brushed it off and went about my day.
A few hours later I saw those very people and felt a nudge to talk to them. I approached the women and her son and expressed I felt I needed to ask her if I could pray for her.
She looked and at me and said “no thank you“.
I left the conversation with a lot discouragement. Like Lord was that your voice?
It was time to board and I couldn’t shake what happened.
I squeezed past the people in the small airplane aisle to find my seat. Anticipation for what God wanted to do in this.
Lord please prepare me to be your voice even after disappointment. I was so expectant of who he wanted me to talk to.
I was greeted by two sweet women from Colombia.
I nervously asked if I could practice speaking Spanish with them.
Patricia glowed in excitement and expressed she was a social worker and Spanish professor. C’mon God!
She encouraged me to learn to walk confidently in what he is speaking to me. She said that she was at the sink near us and heard me ask that lady to be prayed over.
Sometimes we still hear God just our timing our person to encourage my be different then what we think.
We spent the whole plane ride speaking life into each other and letting me practice speaking Spanish!
This trip my prayer is to learn to be more confident when I hear him. To be bold in everyday interactions.
I want to encourage you to think about who God wants you to speak Life into!
Here is a picture of my sweet new friends Patricia and her aunt Doris!
