My name is Desiree Pfeiffer and I am so excited that God has called me on the World Race and that you want to be a part of this adventure with me!
To go along with the theme of “11”, here are 11 facts to get to know me better 🙂
1. I have lived in the Detroit, Michigan area my whole life. Only knowing this to be “home” for me, I am excited to be able to call 11 different countries my “home” for this next chapter in my life.
2. I’m 23 years old and just a few days after launch in August, ill be turning 24. That means I get to celebrate my 24th in Africa, like how cool is that?!
3. Family means everything to me. Growing up, I have always been close with my parents, sister, and brothers and now I get to love on 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
4. Missions has always held a special place in my heart. In junior high and high school, I was able to go on missions trip around the country and to Mexico, but in 2014 when I went to Kenya is when it became clear that this is what I wanted to do with my life.
5. Adventure, camping, and road trips have been a major part of my life ever since I was a little girl so I’m excited to take these to new levels over the next year!
6. I grew up in the church but within the past few years went through more than I could handle on my own and knew I needed more of God in my life. I am eager to have a deeper relationship with him and to see where he takes me.
7. I recently graduated, as of December 2015, with my BS psychology. Walking across that stage after 5 years of hard work has been my proudest moment so far.
8. I have a sick obsession with Nike and don’t know how to say no to it, ever…
9. One Tree Hill is my all time favorite show and after watching all 9 seasons completely through, not only can I rehearse it word for word but I still cry, every. single. time.
10. I really wish I was able to sing well. I mean, I like to pretend to that I can so that’s the same thing right?
11. I knew I wanted to go on the World Race immediately after finding out about it and after a year of preparation, prayer, and working on myself, IT’S HAPPENING!
