The Lord works in interesting ways. I love walking with Him because it is always exciting to see what He has in store for me for the day. Each day I put my trust in him amazing things happen that I was not expecting. Take for example last night. I have a teammate Julian who suffers with a severe case of ciriossis on his arms and legs. I know it brings him pain, discomfort, and embarassment though you would never know from the way he carries himself. He always has a smile on his face and one of the best and consistent attitudes I have ever encountered in another human being. He never talks about this problem of his and though I have wanted to ask him about it several times I have refrained; knowing it is a sensitive topic. However, last night Julian stepped out in front of our whole Squad to talk about it and asked for prayer. Praise God for delivering him in this way.
I often get pictures in my head during prayer or time with the Lord and during this particular prayer I got the image of an empty towel rack. Sometimes when this happens I will tell the whole team around me or the person afterwards or ask God to tell me what to do with it. This time I was thouroughly confused on what it meant so I held back for a bit and waited to see what would happen. After the prayer two of my fellow teammates rushed off of the pavillion speechless. As they left I decided to speak out about what I had seen, still not knowing what it meant. As I told Julian that I had seen a picture of an empty towel rack he looked at me with a confused expression and I shrugged my shoulders. Then, the girls returned. They had a bucket of water and wanted to wash his feet, arms, and legs. It was a tender moment with tears and smiles and singing and as I got caught up in the moment and emotion of it all I forgot about the picture I had seen. Then, as they were wrapping up, it finally clicked.
"Oh I get it Lord. You want me to go get a towel!"
As I left one of my teammates also decided to wash the feet of our team leaders and as I returned with my towel, drying the arms and legs of Julian and the feet of my leaders all I couldn't stop laughing and thinking about how awesome our God is. He knew they were going to need to dry off. Lol.
God thank you that you are a God of healing and that you bring us comfort and release from bodily ailments that bring us down. Thank you for helping Julian be vulnerable in this area and that he brought this problem to us and to you. I pray that you would heal him in this area and that the ciroissis be gone. God I also thank you that you care for and love us so much that you would make sure a towel was provided for your beautiful Sons and Daughters to dry off. You are so awesome and we love you so much. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Update: Julian said that over the last week his arms and legs have gotten a ton better and healing is coming! Praise God!
