So I am here at the Holiday Inn in Dulles, VA. I am writing on the hotel computer because my laptop is now dead. Shipment for a replacement is arriving tomorrow so pray nothing happens in transit and I get it!! Have a ton I need to do with that little piece of equipment in the next year!
Launch has been nothing short of amazing and I am so affirmed in knowing this is exactly where God wants me to be. These people are filled with the spirit of God and He is so present all around us. I have already seen God come through in a few peoples finances who came to launch not having hit their deadline and we are already spreading the word to those around us. Today a few peeps from my team took a taxi to a tattoo shop (not me :)) and shared the gospel with the taxi driver. I also got to have an impromptu jam session in the hallway singing praises to the Lord with about 15 people!!
Saying my final goodbyes to family and friends was harder than I had originally imagined it would be. Today I had a tear filled conversation with my dad right before I handed the reigns of my covetetd iPhone over to my mom. Then, just when I had cleared up and thought I would be all dandy and tear free I had to say bye to my mom and once again the floodgates opened.
But I have so much to tell you!!
God has such awesome plans for us as He is revealing them to us I am more and more filled with the love, peace, and comfort of the Holy Spirit.
We are leaving sometime Friday (still unsure of the exact time) for the airport where we will be flying for over 20 hrs to Johannesburg, Africa. From there we will take a bus to Dondo, Mozambique. It is apparently pretty close to the city of Beira which is a decent sized city in Africa. The ministry we will be working with is Iris ministries. A woman named Heidi Baker has been working in this ministry with her husband for over 20 years. It is an orphanage of over 300 children and growing. Iris ministries has exploded on the continent and currently has a school, churches, and many other sister ministries. Our whole team (P-squad) will be together for this month. There are about 45 of us. We will be living with them, ministering to and with them, and going out into the city with them to bring Jesus to the people in the cities. I am so excited for this and it has been spoken to us that this is a huge opportunity and a great ministry to kick off our World Race!!
