I just have to start out this blog by saying how cool God is. Truly, we have a cool God. Just look around you! He is in the trees, human anatomy, people, laughter, and the sunrise. At training camp we learned about all of the different ways people experience God and I came to the conclusion that though we all see God in different ways and in different things, there is one God, and He loves us all. As a missionary, it is now my job to communicate this love to others, and to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone who crosses my path.
So here you go, I am doing my job in telling you,
"JESUS LOVES YOU!!" 🙂 P.S. I LOVE MY JOB!!
Now in saying this I must admit that I have heard these words before and rolled my eyes. In fact if you would have said this to me a year ago I probably would have shut down and changed the subject. However, as I grow closer to the Lord through this journey and I learn about the nature of God I have come to understand how truly intimate He is, and how much he yearns for us. That is why we hear this message so often and why it was drilled into my head as a child. God loves us and we are all so precious to Him.
This last week I was faced with a question. This question came from someone very close and near and dear to me. It was "The Great Question?!?" (Ya know the one that we have all asked at one time or another and the one that will continue to plague mankind and until the end of time). I'll be honest; I didn't know how to answer it off the top of my head. It was "Why did God create us, why are we here?"
This is a BIG question! I'm sure that most of you, believers or not, have asked it at one point, and have probably reached a conclusion one way or the other. Entire lifetimes, budgets, and centuries have been dedicated to answering this question and I did not take it lightly. So I did what I always do when I get a question that boggles my mind. I called my mom, who then referred me to Jesus.
Now I think when we ask questions like this, many of us expect grandiose responses, and want a whole story as to why and how and where and what. I’ll admit, this is where my mind went as well as I was being asked this question.
Sometimes life can feel bland, uninteresting, even painful and scary. Sometimes we don’t feel love for others, or loved. It is in these moments we need to reach out to God and ask for His love and guidance, because I believe that it is in these moments we are not walking in His love. See, that is the answer!
The answer that I have found and that I continue to find every time I ask these questions myself is simple! The reason God created man and why we are here is because our God is a God of love and relationship. He did not want to be alone, and wanted relationship! Every single person on this planet is a beautiful creation of God’s that He loves dearly, and should be treated and told so every day. We are all so precious to Him. Believe this and treat others accordingly and life will open up in ways you didn’t think were possible. This is the answer that I have found to be true.
The reason why God created man and why we are still here is because
#1 GOD LOVES US!
#2 HE WANTS A RELATIONSHIP WITH US!
Ask God to reveal this to you. He wants to show you Himself. If there are things in your life you are struggling with or questions you have about God ask Him to reveal to you what His answers are. He wants us to challenge Him and He is not afraid of our lack of faith, anger, questions, or fears.
Ask for miracles, favor, revelation, strength, friendship, healing, financial blessings, and have faith that He will give it to you, cuz He will!
Love others! Treat others and love others until you are blue in the face. This is the way to true happiness and joy.
He wants to know you! Like any relationship, it must grow and develop which takes time and effort. But God is so faithful, and He will answer your prayers and give you exactly what you need!
DON’T STOP BELIEVING!!
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:5 “Jesus replied, ‘The truth is, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives new life from heaven. So don’t be surprised at my statement that you must be born again. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.’”
Ask God, and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit into your life and watch it change before your eyes!!
