Zdravo! This is just a short highlight/recap of our travel days! 55+ hours, 3 flights, 2 busses, and 1 heart. It was literally a journey, and so happy to call Sombor home for the next few weeks!
A little backstory…
Derek only had a few hours of sleep, I had no sleep, and a lot of squad landed somewhere in between on rest totals before we took a 2 AM shuttle to the Atlanta airport. Once we made our way through check-in, security, and our last Chick-Fil-A meal, we boarded our first plane.
I slept the entire flight, waking up as we landed. Then on to our layover in Miami. We found our luggage, checked back in, went through security, then found our way to our resting stop until we flew to Portugal!
Another layover, another flight. We landed in Budapest.
Two buses, one on Tuesday night, on Wednesday, and we made it to the Protestant Church of Sombor!
But not before Nathan discovered another use for pizza….
